 The Ministry of Public Health and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) yesterday signed a negotiating agreement to carry out the project 
"Establishment of the Santo Domingo Complex for social care and social services and technical assistance for policy development for the elderly In Paraguay ", 
which aims at the dignification of senior citizens.
The agreement was made at the headquarters of the health portfolio, between the Minister of Health, Antonio Barrios; Han Deog Cho, director of Koica Paraguay; 
And the Korean ambassador, Myung Jae Hahn, who participated as a witness. 
The project will be implemented with US $ 10 million in non-reimbursable financial resources provided by the aforementioned cooperation agency,
as well as technical assistance, during the execution of the project for a period of four years.

Celia Barrios, from the Institute of Social Welfare, said that this construction seeks to establish a model home in terms of infrastructure and functionality, 
doubling the capacity of the shelter. "Of 60 beds will be able to count with capacity for 120 beds. 
Comprehensive care will be provided with 24-hour caretakers and recreation spaces, "he said.
